Eve Plumb, the Brady Bunch alum who has been dispensing on-stage love advice to off-Broadway audiences, will play her final performance as relationship guru Miss Abigail in Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating and Marriage on May 29. An as-yet-unnamed replacement actress, announced only as “another acclaimed actress and American pop-culture icon,” will begin performances on June 1, joining Mauricio Perez who stars as Miss Abigail’s assistant Paco.
Based on an advice book by Abigail Grotke, the comedy follows Miss Abigail, a sought-after relationship expert who helps celebrities with their chaotic love lives. Along with her sidekick, Paco, Miss Abigail travels across the world dispensing advice on dating. The piece, which opened October 24, 2010, is written by Sarah Saltzberg and Ken Davenport.
Miss Abigail is currently running at the Downstairs Cabaret Theater at Sofia’s.
